Fear is a four-letter word, but it takes control of a human being like it is the owner of the universe. Should we say it feels entitled? Some years ago, I felt betrayed by a four-letter word. How can we SETTLE for LESS is a question I am wondering till today. Is it because we are scared of being judged, discriminated against, or talked about? Actually, it feels good to be in your own comfort zone, with no one to disrupt your "baby". I will call FEAR "baby" because what it wants is to feed and get comfortable.
Sometimes we feel it is okay not to talk, not to give an idea or make a decision because, your "baby" will be like, "Look at how they are looking at you", 'You are not even good enough,' Your ideas do not add up,' 'you are not intelligent' You do not have enough content.' The worst thing is that we agree with the ideas in our minds that feed up fear. like, yes that is true,' I am going to keep quiet', anyway, they can talk, or you will be like,' I am introverted and a quiet person'
The question I asked myself today," What is FEAR?
What caused me not to start BLOGGING years ago?
Fear is an unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger, real or imagined. It can be contagious, often affecting group behavior, or can also be an individual
experience.
We encounter fear differently, depending on the provocation and also individual temperament. Some people become overwhelmed by fear and want to escape the situation that might make them frightened or anxious. Fear is a normal feeling, furthermore, it affects everyone especially when faced with an unfamiliar situation, but it can only be considered mental health problem when it is severe and long-lasting.
FEAR is what we perceive, which means it starts in our minds. So my question is, should we remove our brains? Too bad we cannot survive without a brain.
What makes us afraid though, why is it that we have to settle for less because of fear?
According to Sigmund Freud, our past experience play a great role in influencing our behavior, this can be an experience you encounter during your childhood stages, and without being solved, it can contribute to fixation and delays in development, this is where we develop perfectionist personality and also type D personality.
According to Albert Ellis, the thinking and belief system play a great role as the root cause of a problem. According to him, our belief system, and thoughts can cause fear and lead us to sink into distress. That is all for today.
